MeTecno-Benchmark Architectural Systems’ Foam Insulated Architectural Metal Walls meet the requirements as specified in the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System®. Our commitment to energy efficiency, sustainability and environmental responsibility is distinguished by the products and services offered at our manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ohio.
MeTecno-Benchmark Architectural Systems’ Green Build Mission:
- Provide foam insulated architectural metal wall panels that contribute points to the LEED® Green Building Rating System.
- Deliver insulated metal wall panel systems with paints and finishes that are fundamental to attaining a LEED® green building.
- Aid architects/engineers, designers, building owners and metal panel contractors in achieving a LEED® certified building by supplying energy efficient and environmentally responsible products that will have a positive impact on the environment and community.
Meeting LEED® requirements with MeTecno-Benchmark Architectural Systems:
In the LEED® Rating System Product Portfolio, designers will choose LEED® for New Construction (NC) when utilizing products manufactured by MeTecno-Benchmark Architectural Systems. This portfolio is appropriate for new commercial construction and major renovation projects.
MeTecno-Benchmark Architectural Systems’ products are relevant in either LEED® for New Construction Version 2.2 or Version 2.1. These versions may be viewed at www.leedbuilding.org
Within the Energy and Atmosphere section, MeTecno-Benchmark Architectural Systems impact the total performance of the building envelope by providing an opportunity for reduced energy use, therefore potentially contributing points for this credit.
At the Materials and Resources section, products manufactured by MeTecno-Benchmark Architectural Systems can contribute up to 4 points for Recycled Content and Regional Materials, dependent on the specific project and location. An additional 1-4 points may be earned at the Innovation & Design Process section.
